Debbie L. Rice has been married to her husband, Darren, since 2003, and is blessed to be mother to 3 wonderful children; a daughter adopted from China, an Eagle Scout, and a son with Tourette’s Syndrome. She is a member of the Worship team and the choir at her local church, and is the founder of the Annual United In Him Christian Music Festival & Bazaar. Debbie is an award winning songwriter, having received awards from several songwriting icons including Billboard Magazine, Indieheaven.com, Unisong International, and KCCM King Cat Music Awards. Debbie has been nominated in several categories over the years for the prestigious “Momentum Awards” sponsored by Indieheaven.com, and the annual King Kat Music Awards in Kansas City, KS. Several of her songs have reached the Number One spot on Indieheaven.com’s FanFaves Chart, a chart designed specifically for fan votes. Her song, “In Your Silence”, from her debut CD “By Faith” (2006), was nominated for “Best of SongU” at SongU.com. “In Your Silence” was also selected for Indieheaven.com radio airplay, and made the chart in Christian Radio & Retail Weekly (CRW) magazine in the Indieheaven “Hot Top 40” category. The single, “Building Idols in a Fallen World”, from the same CD, won the Honorable Mention award at the Unisong International Songwriters Awards.

Debbie’s inspirational song about adoption, “They Chose Me”, from her CD “Alleluia” (2009), was also given the Honorable Mention awards from Unisong International, and the 15th Billboard Magazine World Songwriting Contest. The single "Alleluia", also on this CD, was named an Honor Award winner in the 10th Annual Great American Song Contest.

AmericanCSA Radio featured Debbie’s song, “Seeker” (2010) during the Aryn Michelle show called, “SongShop”, a collection of songs highlighting good songwriting techniques.
