This song was written to accompany a skit/dance that our Children's Ministry put on at our church. It was performed by two of the eight year old girls that were part of the dance.

The Lord’s Supper

The body of Christ is made up of parts
And each is part of the whole.
When one of us sins, it affects all the others,
And so, it darkens our souls.

The sin that we live with covers our eyes,
It hardens our hearts and our love,
But when we know Jesus died for our sins
Our help, it comes from above.

The Lord’s supper is a family meal,
For we are the family of Christ.
We eat of the bread
And drink of the blood
And remember the Lord’s sacrifice.

His blood poured out to save us from sin,
His mouth spoke only of love;
His ears can hear us each time that we pray,
As He sits with the Father above.

His heart is so full of love and salvation,
He died so that we could live.
He took all our sins away, forever
And taught us how to forgive.
